Winter Attractions In Korea

As Winter comes first things comes to our mind is Vacation,Christmas & New Year Party's i.e just having Fun & Party.So there are lots of places must visit in winters in Korea from Mid November to End of February.As it has started to getting cold from last 20 days or so were are at the doorsteps of winter In Korea.

If Any one is a Skiing lover or want to learn skiing then Korea is a paradise for adventures sports during Winter.There are also short training courses of skiing which are helpful. As there are many Ski Resorts but there are some which are must visit here is the List -



  1. Yangji Pine Resort is equipped with many fine slopes that can be enjoyed by both beginner and expert skiers.Which Just takes 50 Mins. of bus ride from Seoul.It has "Everland Resort" which is the Best amusement parks in Korea. Everland is a large-sized theme park that holds more than 4.5 million Pyongyang of land housing an animal zoo, amusement park, snow sledding slopes, botanical gardens and more. Korea’s largest theme park lives up to its reputation, as it dresses the whole park in a wondrous illusion even down to the part-time cleaning employees, wearing cute uniforms. The colorful fantasy world of Everland provides an enormous array of events and rides along with sledding at the Everland Snow Sledding Slopes, and remains truly a must-visit for those desiring to fully feel the sensations of Korea’s winter. 


2. Jisan Forest Resort is located in Icheon city, Gyeonggi-do province, and due to it’s close proximity to Seoul, many people come to the resort to enjoy a day on the slopes.It is located 1hrs of Bus journey from Seoul.

3. The Gyeonggi Konjiam Resort is the largest ski resort in the Gyeonggi-do region, and is located only 40 minutes from Seoul. The resort provides a total of 11 ski slopes.
4. Yongpyong The patron saint of ski stations in Korea. In operation since 1976, and with an elevation of 1350 m, it offers a wide variety of slopes.  It is the largest ski and snowboard resort in Korea. It has 31 slopes, 15 different lift facilities, including one 3.7 km. long cable car lift, and Korea's largest ski house.Count on three hours travel time from Seoul  by shuttle bus and car only. The Rainbow lift seems to operate only for a limited time. The Gold lift features mostly long intermediate runs.Yongpyong will host technical alpine skiing events for the 2018 Winter Olympics (slalom and giant) and 2018 Winter Paralympics.

5. Muju is Perhaps the most scenic layout of any ski resort in Korea. A beautiful panorama awaits you at the highest summit of any ski station in the country (approximately 1530 m). Catch some “Hermanator” time on the summit runs! Again, plenty of nearby accomodations.It is rail-accessible and also the only major resort south of Seoul (it is located S.E. of Daejeon in North Jeolla Province).

Phoenix Park is Almost all the way to Yongpyeong it is known as the most snowboard-friendly resort among Korean boarders. Some great runs, but again really only accessible by car or shuttle bus. At an elevation of 1050 m, it boasts the Aerial course and the Champion lift with the rather ambitiously named Mount Blanc lodge perched on the highest peak.
Many of the ski resorts of Korea are scattered throughout Gangwon-do Province, the region that gets the most annual snowfall. These facilities, despite their location outside the popular city of Seoul, attract thousands of tourists each year who have come to try their luck on the slopes and experience the magic of winter.



The Seoraksan National Park of Korea is famous for both its geographical features and its hot springs. After a rewarding hike in the beautiful snow-covered mountains and then settle down at the Seorak Waterpia for a memorable bath in the hot springs when it is snowing outside. The waterpark overlooks the wondrous mountain ranges of the Seoraksan Mountains, offering a large variety of water facilities and therapies in the Aqua Dome, and an array of small themed baths providing a great view of the scenery.





Daegwallyeong Snow Festival features many Ice sculptures competition from the artists from around the world.Which is held in mid January every year.There are variety of events including magic shows, music concerts, making a snowman and sledding.Near Jangseong visitors can enjoy a fabulous Ice fishing experience & catch a smelt Which lives in clean water only. 


Hallasan Mountains is another amazing place to visit not only in winters but any time of the years it is place which would any Mounters or Hiking/Trek or Adventure lover would loved to be there.
It is in the beautiful Jeju-do Island’s & it is also the highest Peak of Korea.





So think fast & Act Quick this is the right time to plan and visit during vacations.
